Our School

Welcome

A huge welcome to you and your children. We hope you will enjoy finding out more about our school, the people who work here and the children who make Tweseldown Infant school the vibrant and exciting place to learn.

We are a school that prides itself upon our `school family' and hope that you will be able to visit us to experience the warmth and friendliness of staff, children and Governors. It is important to us that our children are happy, confident and secure in school and, whatever their ability, we aim to help them to build on their knowledge, skills and understanding through an exciting range of learning opportunities.

We have an excellent academic and creative record, both within the curriculum and out of school hours, which develops the children’s personal interests and their self confidence and celebrates their achievements.

If you would like to find out more about the work of the school, please browse through the rest of the site. Better still, come and see us in person - we offer tours to interested parents throughout the school year.

We look forward to meeting you.

PTFA

Our PTFA is a group of parents, staff and friends who aim to work together in supporting Tweseldown Infant School by fund raising, organising events to enhance the school life of our children and promoting and strengthening ties between families, the school and the wider community.

With events such as the Spring Fair, regular coffee mornings and Quiz Nights, we hope that we can raise vital funds for the school – and have some fun along the way!

Being part of a PTFA is a great way to support your child’s school, meet new people and have some fun. With meetings once every half term, we would value your help whether you can commit some time on a regular basis or would prefer to help out occasionally. If you would like to be kept informed of PTFA plans and meeting dates, have some great ideas for events or would even like to join our friendly committee, please contact us at tweseldownptfa@gmail.com

British Values

At Tweseldown Infant School we prevent pupils in our care from becoming radicalised. We support British Values and promote harmony in our society. We challenge extremist arguments and ensure that we NOTICE, CHECK and SHARE information as soon as possible to protect and safeguard the pupils and families at our school. We provide a safe environment in which children can understand the risks associated with terrorism.
