Co-opted Governor at Tweseldown Infant School
Overview:
Tweseldown Infant School is seeking a Co-opted Governor to join our dynamic and diverse Governing Body. This is a voluntary role that offers a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to the educational journey of our students. As this is a co-opted role, we are looking to speak to applicants who do not currently have children at this school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Oversight: Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the school's vision and objectives are effectively met.
- Financial Management: Oversee the school's budget and financial performance, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the school's educational performance and standards.
- Community Engagement: Act as a liaison between the school and the local community, building strong relationships with parents, local organisations, and stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration: Work cohesively with a diverse team of governors to identify and achieve the best possible outcomes for the school.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience in Governance or the educational sector is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A genuine interest in education and the well-being of children.
- Previous experience in collaborative decision-making is desirable.
